How to Install a BCL Wing

How to Install a BCL Wing

We get some questions from time to time on whats the best way to install our wing kits.

Check out the Install Instructions  for a run down on how to mount up!

Pro tips -

  • Add some lubricant on the hardware as stainless steel on stainless steel with a Nyloc nut can sometimes Bind up (this is called Thread Galling). Lubricant will frequently eliminate this and help them tighten down smoothly.
  • Never use power tools when installing the wing to the car, Hand tools only! Power tools increases the heat and chances of Galling is much higher.
  • Add some bracing to the underside of the trunk, whether its a bolt in or weld in brace to support the load of the wing and stop potential warping or cracking etc.
  • Check the hardware is tight from time to time to make sure your always ready to rock and roll.
  • Once installed, Snap some pics, do a post on social media tagging and mentioning BCL. Email us a screen shot of the post and we will send you a BCL Approved sticker!
